Fifty years ago, Irving Greenspahn founded Irving’s for Red Hot Lovers. Over the
decades, the restaurant has become a beloved neighborhood institution, known
for its signature Red Hots, classic Chicago-style fare, the Big Irv’s specialty menu,
and lighter offerings such as salads and chicken dishes. Today, Irving’s remains
proudly family-owned and operated by Irving’s son, Andy Greenspahn.

Irving’s has earned widespread recognition within the food industry, including
being named a Top 5 "Top Dog" by Food Industry News, receiving the Critic’s
Choice Award for Best Hot Dogs, and being featured on the Food Network’s Food
Finds and ABC’s Hungry Hound. Their acclaimed chili dog was also spotlighted as
a favorite on The Mancow Show, further solidifying their reputation for culinary
excellence.

The Vienna Beef Hot Dog Hall of Fame was established to honor long-standing
operators who have become true community landmarks. Of the thousands of
Vienna Beef customers across the country, only 156 have received this honor since
its inception in 2006. Today, it is with great pride that we welcome Irving’s for Red
Hot Lovers as the 157th inductee into the Vienna Beef Hot Dog Hall of Fame.
On behalf of the entire Vienna Beef family, congratulations to Irving’s on this
well-deserved recognition.
