5 Surprising Uses for Yellow Mustard

Hot dog season is officially here and if you’re anything like us, you probably have an excess of Vienna Yellow Mustard in your fridge. But did you know that our Yellow Mustard is good for more than just dogs? Below we’ve rounded up some of our favorite ways to use up our favorite condiment, both during and after the summer months.
Chicken
Yellow Mustard creates a lovely glaze for chicken! We recommend combining 2 parts Yellow Mustard with 1 part honey for a glaze that will make your mouth water. Or, you can add some yellow mustard to your favorite chicken stew recipe to brighten it up a bit.
Eggs
Of course, what would deviled eggs be without a pinch of Yellow Mustard for some flavor? The key to a great deviled egg recipe is a great Yellow Mustard!
Fish
Heartier fish like salmon are made even better with a mustard crust. Try brushing some of our Yellow Mustard on a nice cut of salmon or tuna before searing and you’ll be amazed at the results.
Roasts
While it’s not quite the season for roasts, we recommend keeping this tip in your back pocket come fall and winter time. Similar to our recommendation for fish, Yellow Mustard is also a great rub for your favorite roasts! Chop up your favorite herbs, like rosemary and thyme, mix with Yellow Mustard and rub down your cut of meat before roasting. You can thank us later!
Vinaigrette
Summer is salad season and Yellow Mustard is the perfect accompaniment! Great on tender greens like spinach, you can make a delicious vinaigrette by mixing some Yellow Mustard with just a pinch of olive oil for a low calorie dressing.
