National Soup Month

Winter is officially underway here in Chicago! When the cold weather and snow hit, we know there is nothing better than comfort foods to warm your belly. And, just in case you needed another excuse to chow down on something warm and filling, January is National Soup Month! Did you know that we make dozens of small batch, kettle crafted soups & chili? They all come ready to heat and serve making delicious, filling meals easier than ever before!

In honor of National Soup Month, we’ve rounded up some of our most popular Bistro soup & chili flavors to share with you!

Mama’s Chicken Noodle Soup

Of course we had to start off this list with a classic! Our Mama’s Chicken Noodle soup is as delicious as it is timeless. This soup is slow simmered with chicken broth, so you know it’s chock full of good flavor. Completed with fresh noodle dumplings, white meat chicken, celery and carrots, this soup is a winter must-have for quick and easy dinners. It’s just like Mama used to make — maybe even better (just don’t tell Mama).

Potato Bacon & Cheese

What’s not to love about our Potato Bacon & Cheese soup? It’s all of your favorite foods in one tasty dish! This homestyle soup is the epitome of comfort food. The Potato Bacon & Cheese soup features a hearty blend of three cheeses, real cream, potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, bacon and finished off with some parsley. We recommend serving this treasure in a bread bowl with some extra shredded cheese and bacon bits on top. Or, go classic and serve with a side of oyster crackers!

Tomato Bisque

While our Tomato Bisque soup is great on its own, we love to use it as a dip of sorts for homemade grilled cheese sandwiches! All you need is two slices of your favorite bread and two slices of your favorite cheese (we like Cheddar Jack) to build the perfect sandwich pairing for this soup. You can also dress up your grilled cheese with additions like bacon, turkey, ham, or avocado. There is truly no lunch more classic or delicious than this!

Farmers Market Vegetable

Looking to add more colorful vegetables to your diet? Enter our Farmers Market Vegetable soup! Packed full of carrots, corn, potatoes, green beans, chickpeas, and more, there’s something for everyone in this soup. Have any dietary restrictions? You’re in luck — Farmers Market Vegetable is also vegan and vegetarian making it the perfect option for all.


Of course, we couldn’t wrap up National Soup Month without giving a shout out to our Numero Uno Chili. After all, is there anything more comforting and delicious? We think not! The Numero Uno Chili is great on its own, or topped with shredded cheese, sour cream and oyster crackers. But if you’re looking a tasty change-up, we recommend topping a Vienna Beef hot dog with a generous scoop of chili, some mustard, and some cheese. Delicious!
