Jimmy's Place 1969-2011
Inducted on 9th Oct 2007

In 1969 Jimmy Stevens and his girlfriend Mary Lou won $500 at Arlington Park Race Track. They spent their winnings and bought a beat up old gas station down the street from the racetrack. Their dream was to turn it into a successful hot dog spot. For almost 40 years Jimmy's Place was the place to go. Students from the high school and hungry patrons from local businesses visited time and time again. Jimmy's Place became a fixture in the Northwest suburbs. If you could squeeze into the tiny parking lot, you could treat yourself to a tasty Vienna Beef hot dog.
