Best Bistro Soups and Sandwich Pairings

We’ll take any excuse to show off our line of Bistro Soups by Vienna, but especially during National Soup Month! There are few things better than a nice bowl of your favorite soup on a cold January day. And while all of our Bistro Soups are delicious on their own, you can take your Soup to the next level by pairing it with one of these Sammies featuring Vienna Beef Deli Meat. Keep reading to learn which Soup/Sandwich pairings we recommend for some of our most popular Bistro Soups.

Apple, Cheddar, and Turkey Pastrami Panini with Mama’s Chicken Noodle Soup

A classic soup calls for a classic sandwich but with a twist! All it takes to make this delicious sandwich is a few slices of our Vienna Beef Turkey Pastrami, thin apple slices, a couple of thick cheddar slices, and your favorite condiments like Vienna Yellow Mustard and Mayo. The key to getting this sandwich right is to slice your apple thin, with a mandoline if you have one available, and crisping up the bread in a toaster oven or panini maker. Together with our savory Mama’s Chicken Noodle Soup, you’ll have a dinner your whole family will ask you to make again and again.

Minestrone with an Italian Beef Sandwich with Roasted Peppers

Packed with a garden’s worth of fresh vegetables, real Parmesan cheese, and ditalini pasta, our Minestrone soup is full of complex flavors. You’ll need a sandwich that compliments this soup’s flavors well – enter our Vienna Beef Italian Beef deli meat! Unlike the Italian Beef sandwich most Chicagoans are used to, we recommend piling this one high with roasted peppers and shredded Parmesan to taste. Your taste buds will thank you!

Tomato Bisque with Spinach and Orzo and a Corned Beef Reuben Sandwich

Forget the typical Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup – this new combo knocks it out of the park! The tomato base adds some tanginess while the basil adds an herbaceous flavor, making this soup the perfect refreshing match for a hearty Corned Beef Reuben! Bonus points for dipping the Reuben in your soup.
