When Eddie and Stubby Scatchell started up his little fast food stand back in 1953, he probably hadn’t thought of this popular little place being around for over sixty years. Frankie Levato and Barry Reggi have been running things just fine, expanding the building and fine tuning the menu. They have made Scatchell’s their place and have achieved the status as a neighborhood gem. With signage that lights up the Cicero night like a Vegas show, their product takes center stage as they have continued to feature the same place with their homemade recipes and consistency. Their Italian Beef, sausage, and pizza have been the stars of the menu and the show. Their community involvement and dedication to their customers truly makes Scatchell’s a special kind of place. Besides many satisfied regulars, celebrities like Joe Mantegna and the Food Network’s Jeff Mauro have become real fans.
