Open a Hot Dog Business
Our Hot Dog U Program will help you open a hot dog business and teach you how to operate it successfully. The two day course includes:
Expert Instruction
Professor of Hot Dogs, Mark Reitman, brings a lifetime of experience in the food service industry as a successful operator of a hot dog cart business. Under Reitman's tutelage at Hot Dog University, you receive the benefit of that experience and a clear understanding of the logistics connected with opening a business. Once you are open, we offer the marketing materials and marketing support to enable you to sustain your new-found success.
Classroom
The Hot Dog University Conference Room is a comfortable learning environment fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
Hands-On Experiential Learning
Hot Dog University provides not only the finest classroom instruction and materials, but also the opportunity to put the classroom theory into practice. All students operate a hot dog cart for a busy lunch hour. Students have a chance to set-up their cart, make and serve hot dogs, and break down the cart for clean-up and storage. We believe that giving students this practical experience is an essential part of the Hot Dog University Program.
Plant Tour
The more you know about the scope of the business and the products you sell, the better prepared you are. By taking a comprehensive tour of the Vienna Beef plant, you will see how hot dogs are made from start to finish. These days consumers are more discerning about what they purchase, and are more likely to inquire about products. Nothing puts a customer more at ease than a proprietor who can answer any question about ingredients and processes connected to the products they sell.
