Vienna® Beef Welcomes Billy’s Hot Dogs Into the Hall of Fame
The Vienna® Beef Hot Dog Hall of Fame was created to honor hot dog operations that have achieved longevity and have developed into true neighborhood landmark, one of which Vienna® is proud to highlight today. Out of thousands of Vienna® Beef customers, only 120 have been recognized since the award was inaugurated in 2006. Our 121st addition is Billy’s Hot Dogs and Beef in Palatine, Illinois.
For over thirty-six years, Billy Kokkines has been operating fast food restaurants in the northwest suburbs. Originally in Arlington Heights, Billy has operated his current location in Palatine for the past 25 years. Billy grew up in Chicago, attended Austin High School, and has been married to his wife and partner Angela for over 45 years. Angela is also the chef and creator of their specialty sandwiches and soups. Together with longtime employee Ricky Hill, the Kokkines’ and their daughter Greta have endeared themselves to their Palatine customers and neighbors.
Billy said the best way to describe his business motto is, “eat good food freshly made to order.” That sums up the quality that Billy’s is dedicated to preserve. From their specialty paninis to the Vienna® Beef hot dogs, Italian beef, and burgers you always get the best. Billy’s is the local favorite of students, civic leaders, and the neighbors in the community. Now, it’s Vienna®’s turn to acknowledge, thank and pay homage to this iconic food emporium. From Vienna® Beef, we wish much continued success to the family and staff at Billy’s Hot Dogs in Palatine.
