Original Jimmy’s
4000 W. Grand Ave

Dear Frank,
Back in 1954, when folks were watching Brando in On the Waterfront at the theatre and Willie Mays was making that historic catch in the World Series, a Chicago Icon was born. That was over a half century ago when Jimmy (the Original) started what would become one of the most popular and oldest hot dog stands ever in Chicago.
Continuing that tradition Frank, son Jimmy and a team of long term, hanging in there kind of managers like Evon, Jerry, Mike and Billy have produced tremendous consistency and continuous quality. Guys like Billy Randazzo showed up 50 years ago to help put in the floor and never left. That’s just an example of the loyal management team at Jimmy’s. There is also the philanthropic side of the business that often gets overlooked, as Frank puts on the Santa gear and heads up the Toys For Tots campaign.
But food has been the main thing for over 50 years and Vienna Beef natural casing hot dogs and Maxwell Street polish sausages are the main events served with too many fries. And now, Vienna Beef would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and congratulate Frank, Jimmy and the entire team and welcome the Original Jimmy’s to our Hot Dog Hall of Fame. Best wishes and continued success from the entire Vienna Beef family.
